Night Tale, Black Circe (5 min, 2023), directed by Azza Abdelwahid Yousif, is a magical realism short film that reimagines the myth of Circe. In this contemporary interpretation, the mythological goddess takes the form of a Black woman who, over the course of one night in a forest, alters the fate of three souls who cross her path—each having expressed, whether through words or actions, a longing for love or freedom.
